Melitta Bamboo Coffee Filters

 

I came across these Melitta Bamboo coffee filters at a Sobey's in Canada a couple weeks ago.  I haven't seen them here at grocery stores in the US. 

The filters are made of 60% bamboo and are available at a number of retailers online including Amazon.com  Worth checking out.

Don't they also sell recycled paper filters?

I just use a french press instead.

They've been on sale in Europe for a couple of years now. There has been a 'bamboo' hype since a two-three years, resulting in the use of bamboo as an eco-friendly fiber in textiles (towels, sheets), coffee filters, ...

I haven’t heard about bamboo filters. I like all eco-friendly goods and always choose them instead of some not so friendly. This is really useful information.
