They've been on sale in Europe for a couple of years now. There has been a 'bamboo' hype since a two-three years, resulting in the use of bamboo as an eco-friendly fiber in textiles (towels, sheets), coffee filters, ...

I haven’t heard about bamboo filters. I like all eco-friendly goods and always choose them instead of some not so friendly. This is really useful information.
