Compostable? How many municipalities have residential collection which can handle compostable materials? It certainly won't break down in my back yard pile - it's not hot enough. Even composting is a misnomer - What this breaks down into can hardly be described as something nourishing and usable as compost. And when it goes into the landfill (which it undoubtably will)it will just sit, or if it happens to get enough oxygen and heat it will potentially emit methane, a greenhouse gas. It still uses fossil fuels to grow, make and transport. Also, it can't be recycled. So again, how is this "green"?
