I'd be more inclined to purchase this card if it were made from recycled poly pro instead of virgin. If they're just going to make carpet out of it, maybe they should just made carpet out of it instead of making cards first. Making the cards just increases the risk that the plastic will be disposed of improperly before getting to the carpet manufacturer.

The other issue I have is with this statement:

"If people who receive a card decide not to send it to Shaw it can always be recycled in communities that accept #5 PP."

That's not actually true. Although a few communities accept #5 containers, that doesn't mean that they accept everything made from #5 plastic. I wish manufacturers would not lead people to believe they can toss anything they want into the recycle bin. It's simply not true and creates a lot of confusion.
